Degas's strongly antisemitic ideas caused permanent rifts with some of his lifelong friends. The Dreyfus Affair of 1894-1906 scandalised and divided French society, exposing the deep and inexcusable anti-Jewish sentiment of many people. it’s a sky that is about 50% deep dark 3d cumulus clouds, and 50% clear. but what makes it special is these HUGE beams of light reaching in between the gaps of the clouds. it looks like rays of magical divine light, no joke.
