The new way of dealing with accounts that post so called “nsfw” content is appalling. We already have a perfectly good system that lets users mark posts containing such content as need be. We do not need a system that hides account content such as just general life updates as though its 18+ solely because that user posted a drawing of a hot naked werewolf a few days prior.

On the topic there is a serious lack of clarification/communication as to how an account gets marked this way. For example I've seen accounts that only posts mildly suggestive content be marked as adult while accounts that post explicit pornography regularly continue to be allowed to manual mark their posts as sexual or not. If it's a matter of punishing people that do not mark their content correctly or something of that nature those users should be sent an e-mail warning stating this much.

In short if you can't implement this system well it should be removed outright until users can be correctly informed of how it will be used and it what way. From there they can decide how to move forward when it comes to what content they post to Bluesky.
