This is when a group claiming to represent a section of people (LGBTQ+, Disability etc) becomes officially recognised by the party as the organ of that identity group. Often, these groups have special access to the party leadership, reserved seats on the executive or nominating powers.

Reject any attempts to restrict trans people’s rights to access public bathrooms and other gendered spaces, which we have freely exercised for decades. Trans people have a right to access gendered spaces by self-ID (including prisons).

Ensure that trans people are represented through a democratic structure in the party with a right to be consulted on all decisions specifically impacting trans people - nothing about us without us!

We endure decades long waiting lists to access limited healthcare, with dehumanisation and pathologisation built in to the system. In the job market, we are met with discrimination, lack of opportunity and stagnating pay.
