A meet and greet with Trans Rights Commission Toronto members to talk about what we have been doing, volunteering opportunities, events on the horizon and what the future holds.

Why should you be there?

You’re impacted by trans rights or otherwise support equal human rights for trans individuals and ensuring their support in Toronto and throughout Canada.

International Transgender Day of Visibility 2026
Message from Bri Crockford

Good morning, fellow gender renegades,

I see you rolling with the hits. I see you living in the moment. I see you hoping for the best, deserving every precious win. I see you planning for less, hoping it will blunt the impact. I see you keeping the news in the corner of your eye, but not the centre of your attention. I see you sheltering the flame of joy you’ve found from the wind. I see you cherishing the warmth in your life. I see you spreading that feeling to those who see you, too.

If I don’t see you yet, if that isn’t you, then I hope that one day I get the honour to see you.

Today, on this International Transgender Day of Visibility, you deserve to feel seen and supported. It’s fair to say that there have never been so many people that see us, and it doesn’t always feel like a blessing. Yet today I remember with gratitude every trans person who shared with me a piece of their life, before I had enough pieces to see the picture in my own life.

We don’t owe the world our visibility, but we can offer it to each other. It doesn’t need to be an act of bravery to exist in public, and Trans Rights Commission Toronto will continue working to make that our reality.
