Mooghaun Hillfort • Clare A hillfort comprised of a series of enormous stone ramparts surrounds a prominent limestone hill overlooking the Fergus River. Excavations by @discoveryprogramme.bsky.social found the site has its origins in the Bronze Age, with later activity in the early medieval period
