Does anyone have some resources or suggestions for constructing a (perceptuallt=y) good #color gradient with 4 colors / 2 orthogonal axes? Something like this. What are some best practices here for picking / interpolating colors? #dataviz

I really like viridis (better resources below). One thing I also like is looking up a hex colour you like and to use any of the available websites (personally, I like www.color-hex.com)

Can you explain what you mean by "perceptually good"? Are you looking to maximize discriminability (i.e. ensure that small steps are discriminable)? Or something else?
