1. With more common timelines you are "framed" into thinking in "year of birth" and "year of death", but not so much in "age at a certain year", which is hard to imagine. And... getting a sense who was alive simultaneously requires you to glance all over and keep things in mind

2. You often think of people in history at a certain age. But all of them have been children too. And old people often too. You don't often think of that, and this #dataviz makes it explicit... for every year in history!
