"Hmph, imagine that." He swirled to face the collection of robes the trader had hung on a wrack so packed, it had begun to sag. "And besides, it's a parasol, not an umbrella.”

$Stonewall is a historic monument, a testament to the perseverance and determination of queer people. It’s no secret that the administration is actively targeting queer people. It’s no secret that executive orders are coming out each day, every new one more concerning than the last. But how dare you take a monument in dedication to our history—MY—history, and remove trans people from the narrative. We would not even have a monument to honor without TRANS women of color, and trans people have been on the frontlines of queer rights since the beginning. How dare you acquiesce to the unlawful demands of a felon in order to what?? Protect yourselves from being a target? After they go after trans people they will go after everyone else, and you dishonor the memory of every person who stood against the law to fight for their rights. There is no LGB without the T, and to wash our history of us is utterly shameful. And the white washing of it? Even more so. BIPOC people deserve better than to be erased, and they deserve to be honored. To quietly remove them from our history is absolutely disgraceful and ungrateful. Fix this. Fix this and know a fraction of the courage trans people have in the face of adversity. Fix this and honor the very monument you are stewards over.$
