The Big Big Talent Show Talent competition ITV (LWT) 27 July 1996 - 30 August 1997 2 series - 18 episodes Six acts were showcased each week. Before each one, Jonathan Ross had a quick chat with someone who knew the act. Usually, it was some kind of friend, workmate or relative, one act sent their bank manager! Among those who participated were Paul Zerdin, Ed Byrne, Charlotte Church, Gina Yashere, Steve Brookstein, Francine Lewis, Jon Culshaw and Stephen Mulhern.
Gunther von Hagens 1945-2026 German anatomist, businessman, lecturer. Gunther developed the technique for preserving biological tissue specimens called plastination. In 2002, he performed a live autopsy for an audience of 500 people in London which was broadcast on Channel 4.
Ronnie Le Drew 1947-2026 A very talented puppeteer who was the voice of Zippy from Rainbow for over 50 years. He even got Zippy to wish us a Happy Birthday on our 25th Anniversary video in 2023. He worked with Harry Corbett, Matthew Corbett and Richard Cadell on The Sooty Show and Sooty Heights as the voice of Sweep.
Bill Oddie 1941-2026 One third of The Goodies and part of the team who wrote and appeared in At Last The 1948 Show. Bill was a prolific song writer and a birder since his childhood. He was part of the original team who presented the "Watches" nature series on the BBC.
Gerry Kelly 1948 - 2026 Northern Ireland broadcaster and journalist, best known for his Friday night talk and variety show Kelly on UTV for over 16 years. Kelly joined UTV as a part-time reporter but left after being blacklisted. He returned to the broadcaster in 1979 and worked on Good Evening Ulster. Kelly also presented Lifestyle, Kelly's People, Kelly on Tour, Kelly on the Road, What Next?, Get It Right Next Time, and Pick of the Six.

26 July 2001 Channel 4 and S4C show a special edition of the parody news show Brass Eye. The show was titled Paedogeddon. It highlighted the media's hysteria surrounding paedophilia and how its methods of gaining testimony from victims often end up demeaning them. It also features unsuspecting celebrities and politicians duped into advocating spoof child safety campaigns. There were over 4,000 complaints.
