Over at the other place, they’ve forgotten, or are ignoring, the definition of a peaceful protest, which is exactly what this is. It’s also a (petty) crime, but that doesn’t make it less than peaceful. Am I correct? @gregdoucette.bsky.social

Petty vandalism, an ancient form of protest. It dates back to ancient China and Rome at least. Not violent. Always illuminating to see property crimes called violence by the right while they ignore actual state violence.

Graffiti is ancient rebellion, it's hard to get fussed. Two vectors: peaceful/violent, lawful/criminal. They overlap, but it's good to keep in mind how different. A lot of public order policing would leave that for the moment and then cite/arrest later, because arrests tend to make things worse.
