The smaller half of GongSpa. My life is Gongs, Da Bears, coffee, knitting and all the vegetables. I also hoard books, am learning German, love to walk, sew, Nalbind, origami, going charity shopping, and draw. There is not enough time.

This is a busy photo of a window bottom/sill looking out over the back of some lovely brickwork semis. It is a crisp sunny Winter day. Romeo, the neighbour’s Wisteria is knocking on the window and flexing their buds. The window bottom is full of tender goodies- pinch pots, Buddha, origami, stones. You can see a corner of my messy desk- pencils and wool and sewing machine and notepads. There might be a fine layer of dust 😬

It’s a great story ( interpretation of true events). More than that- the writing is phenomenal. I am reading everything he writes.

Hilary Mantel was a genius in every form- essays, historical novels and her social service/ghost inspired dark comedies like this one. This book is completely original and unforgettable. The Audible version is great. It is really dark though. Not for tender souls x
