I am proud to say I beat the final boss before he was nerfed. Almost threw my Switch 2 at a wall, but I did it.
Phew, at first I was afraid this was a full-blown nerf to the boss, but at least I'm grateful it only gets easier AFTER a certain number of deaths. So it's still possible to beat a tough, difficult boss, you just need try not to die, so as not to make it any easier. ✨

I also join the "beat it before the nerf" club, but it took me several hours. This was harder to me than a certain knight or the secret boss of this chapter. And the main issue is that the fight is very frustrating since once hit can quickly spiral out of control.
Me not realizing the save slot where i beat all the secret bosses did not transfer over to chapter 5 because i didn't resume the end of the chapter.....

Am I alone in saying I liked the challenge for the boss? Honestly - that's what made this one satisfying to finish, and it only took me a few times before the patterns clicked, but again - is it just me?? Imo, make it an option so players that want the challenge aren't forced with a pity victory.
I think you should apply the same nerf to the "pink-colored enemy". It's a really big step in difficulty compared to the previous ones. This, or slow down its bombs attack. It's too fast for my brain XD.
toby man can you please start making these forced difficulty patches optional i don't want to get an easier fight because i died a lot i want to get better at the fight

For the pink-colored enemy, i had a really hard time actually seeing the soul, since almost everything else was very close to the same color. I’m not sure if maybe i’m just dumb or if other people had that problem too

Mild Deltarune Chapter 5 Spoilers Minor bug: A certain minigame (and maybe plagues others, might be worth a quick check) has a display bug where it fails to display best times with the proper decimal places. (example has a best of 5.103 being replaced with 5.083, but displayed as 5.83)

Hey guys, speaking of boss patches - the secret boss's infamous Bomb attack is trippa lot of people up, but particularly me because it causes a sensory reaction in the way the other patterns don't. Does reduce VFX affect this?

Pre-nerf final boss gang here. The fight really fucked up my hands and they still hurt after sleeping a while (don’t really know if it’s any one part of the battle might have just been all the adrenaline and time) so I’ll be happy to maybe not have to experience that again lol

please make the nerf either kick in faster or save progress towards it across sessions ive been slamming myself against this stupid wall for several days now and still have barely reached what i think is the middle of the fight
I have beaten the final boss without it being nerfed. Don't know if I should be mad that I could have waited for there to be an update that nerfs it or if I should be proud I didn't need the update.

My one complaint about this is that I really dislike when games *automatically* make themselves easier just because I didn’t figure out a boss fight in time. Asking if I want to is fine. Doing it without telling me feels insulting.

I think the only thing that needs tweaking is the boss that’s pink. It’s not too hard but there bomb pattern is just a tad too fast to react to with the colour scheme.
