Schematic of an ex vivo assay using triple-negative breast cancer patient-derived xenograft fragments. The fragments were treated daily for five days with NK-EVs, paclitaxel, a combination treatment, or no treatment, followed by fluorescence-based viability and caspase 3/7 activity measurements.
