Showing off a thin band with a repeating pattern of 3 small diamonds then 2 large diamonds done in orange and blue 8/2 cotton. The band is approximately 3/8", and the pattern uses a shoelace pattern from Little Looms.
Side by side (okay, top over bottom) comparison of the completed blanket before wet finishing and then after. The plain weave sections of the blanket pick up a pattern from the neighboring twill stripes.
A folded newly woven gray blanket fresh off the loom. The blanket pattern is LoftyFiber's Sophisticated Blanket in 8/4 cotton. The primary color is Timberwolf, and I've altered the design slightly to have 3 strands of a hand-dyed teal in the middle of the plain weave sections.

Looking through shafts at the back of the loom toward the reed. On the left, the heddles are threaded, grouped, and knotted to keep the yarn from coming loose before it's attached to the warp beam. The warp is (mostly) sleyed through the reed. Four lease sticks help separate the two crosses, in theory to make sure the threading goes properly. Once I fix the three loose threads, I'll remove the lease sticks and raddle, and proceed to thread through the heddles.
Six warp chains in a row. The warp is 8/4 cotton in Timberwolf and an ice-dyed teals and blues. The bulk of the warp is Timberwolf. There are thin blue stripes (3 ends wide) mixed in.
Two hanks of dyed 8/4 cotton yarn laid out on a sewing machine table. The top yarn is darker blues and teals, and was dyed "in the muck" below the grate. It was left in the dye bath for about 20 hours. The bottom yarn is a mix of light gray, light blue, spring green, and a bit of teal. It was dyed on top of the grate, with standard ice maker cubes on top, and the dye sprinkled over it. Once the ice was melted, it was moved into a zip lock baggy overnight. (About 6 hours to melt, 12 hours in the baggy.)
Four rows of a narrow strip of woven band lay on top of a spiral bound book. The warp is 15 strands of 8/2 cotton in natural, cayenne, and orange. The bulk of the strands are natural, with a strand of cayenne on either side and a strand of orange down the middle. The two outer rows shown use Natural as the weft. One of the center rows uses Wine Red as the weft, and the other uses Cayenne.
A rigid heddle loom, without the heddle in place. Instead, string heddles attach half the warp to the back brace, and a pick up stick rests at the back of the loom. Two popsicle sticks separate the warp threads at the front of the loom, and 1 1/2 inches of a band has been started. The warp is 8/2 cotton in natural, Cayenne, and orange. The warp can be separated by pulling down on the string heddles or pulling the pick up stick forward and tipping it on its side.
Five dish towels arrayed so you can see their colors. In order from bottom to top: Wine Red, Light Orange, Brick, Orange, Cayenne. Each towel has a slightly different pattern on it, with natural as the secondary color. They are fresh off the loom.

There is very little contrast between the warp and the weft, so it's hard to see the pattern clearly. Enough yarn has been pulled from the boat shuttle to hemstitch the ends.
