"not enough people are willing to admit that the source of a lot of bad behavior is not online influence but rather the discourse present in real life. non-online people still have violent misogynistic thoughts because they were primed to have this thinking from patriarchal thinking. i honestly think placing the blame on influencers is just another way of passing off responsibility for bad behavior from educators and adults in society as a whole to this abstract Big Bad. no one wants to admit they uphold patriarchy even in subtle ways.
