Not proud of it, but I just used this specificity hack. Generally a huge fan of the `is()` pseudo class, but probably shouldn't use it for this 馃槄

yep! when leaning on this pattern, I learned to call it #specificity-bump so future me wasn't searching for other possible uses of that fake ID. CSS cascade layers nullified the need for a lit of this now.
