i had to do this a fair amount on our static generated doc site, specifically in the section that has markdown lol
:is() and :where() are both pretty cool yes
yep! when leaning on this pattern, I learned to call it #specificity-bump so future me wasn't searching for other possible uses of that fake ID. CSS cascade layers nullified the need for a lit of this now.
@layer and @scope are worth looking into
