From top to bottom: Moss's "Game Over" shares a title with a song by Avenged Sevenfold. The song is about someone living a monotonous life day after day until they realize it's all just passing them by. In the end, they choose to commit suicide to escape the monotony. Moss's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" shares a title with a song by Bonnie Tyler. This was mainly chosen for the fact that you have to hide right behind the boss, eclipsing your heart. The song also repeats the phase "Turn Around" which is something you wish you could do to fight this particular boss! Scarlet's "I Won't See You Tonight 2" is based on a song by Avenged Sevenfold, called "I Won't See You Tonight Part 2." The first part is a rock ballad from the perspective of someone choosing to commit suicide. The second part is a harsh metal song with screaming vocals from the perspective of a friend of the victim from the first part. Voilet's dream (not shown in this image) references part 1, but Because Scarlet was released first, the dream for part 2 was added months before the dream for part 1. Scarlet's "Hearts Burst Into Fire" shares a name with a song by Bullet For My Valentine. This song is about someone wondering if their loved one is still thinking about them after spending a long time apart. Dandy's "Let It Burn Under My Skin" are lyrics from Fiction, a song by Avenged Sevenfold. The song is about someone consoling their loved ones because they know that they will be gone soon. This was the last song written by their late drummer who sadly passed away just a few days after recording a draft of this song. They kept as much of that original recording as they could for the final version.
