I use Spotify for music, but for podcasts, I love Overcast. It's a solo dev project that is sooo much better than any other podcast app.
And it shows this shit on the home page from time to time too, with no way to hide or block it
I’m guessing that it’s so popular that the algorithm assumed you wanted it. There was a time, years ago, on Amazon, when the site would recommend whatever the 4th Harry Potter book was with almost every purchase.
I switched to tidal after Spotify upped their rates a bit ago. No idea if they’re better for artists, but I’m saving a bit of money each month and everything I wanted to hear that was on Spotify is also on tidal.
I'm considering moving to Tidal + just buying all my music and listening with local files but to my chagrin I haven't really been listening to music very much lately.
