So it seems like with the tint fully turned up on macOS 27 Golden Gate, it still reflects light in the background in areas that are not currently selected but is otherwise opaque. Look at the header bar of Preview here or the way that light moves when I move around the items in the Control Center.

Note that is a beta developer release and I assume that some of these animation stutters will be more smoothed out when this releases. Anyway, I still think macOS from like the 00s and early 10s were the best releases, but I am glad they are listening to feedback and making Liquid Glass more usable.
