@everyone So apparently Bluesky may be implementing their age verification processes in the state of Texas (my home state) soon. Apparently, the bill in question is referring to age verification on APP STORES, not the apps themselves, meaning the Bsky dev team possibly misinterpreted the original bill. HOWEVER, Bluesky is my main platform at this point, so I won't be having any of that. I will be prepared for this as I have done some research and have some options. -I will most likely use an alternate client for the site, specifically deer.social. These sites might not be 100% prone to laws, but I have heard they can work pretty well against the restrictions. -VPN, of course. -Or, a more official method, use a card I have for an account that I barely use/keep money in, on top of the fact that said card expires later this year anyway. The age verification Bluesky uses (Epic Games' KWS) does list an option for card payment.
