Boise, if you're looking for a new snow shovel to clear sidewalks/driveway, I've put enough work in to recommend this one, "The Snow Plow" at 36", now. Probably want to pair it with the smaller type for tossing piles, but it makes quick work of big areas as long as accumulation isn't 3+" slop.

If there's ice accumulation (from tire or foot compression here, usually) under the snow, it's not great for breaking that ice. That too is a metal shovel job. But it glides over that well enough until you come back to break it.

It definitely is NOT for tossing snow, but as I say, pair it with a smaller shovel to toss piles from the border of the area you're clearing, and it's a winner.
