consumer gen ai pricing is aggressively unsustainable right now we need more consolidation of these "add ons" that are just wrappers for the claude and chatgpt apis the "sign in with chatgpt" integration apple debuted on iOS 18.2 and macOS 15.2 is a huge step in the right direction

i know that many of these "add ons" have custom fine tuning applied to the models at the end of the day that fine tuning on top of foundation models this size is not really making a big enough difference to warrant the prices being charged for custom models are a different story, of course
