Hi everyone (anyone!?) Macro photography and wildlife is my thing 📸🌻🐝 in beautiful North Yorkshire 🌄 (all pics are mine unless reposts 📸) 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

A gate with cows in the field beyond. Lush green hedgerows lead the path to a mature oak tree and the ancient wood below the hill known as Roseberry topping.

A cricket match plays in a dale in North Yorkshire. Above the fence many people in their bright cricket whites play infront of the pavilion.

A veteran oak tree sits on a cliff edge. Its tangle of roots gripping over a huge lump of bedrock. The sun peeps behind the branches and the leaves of a nearby Alder dot the upper part of the picture.
A bright and sunny forground gives a false sense of security as the weather in the distance darkens. Soon it was on me and I got soaked through to my underwear
The sun peeps through the branches of a large sycamore tree. Below is a lush green flower bed with new shoots and a sprinkle of blue and red.

A shooting star shoots through a stary night. Below is a large dobsonian telescope illuminated slightly purple. To the left is an observatory with the roof slid towards us, bathed in a red hue from the darksky friendly lighting.

A beefly sits on some purple muscaria (grape hyacinth). Its body is covered in fuzz and its wings are blurred with motion. You can make out it's long tongue.
A longhorn beetle known as the ladder back longhorn beetle, sits on my hand. It happened as I was teaching some year 9's a session called 'Endangered Ecosystems'. The text reads: Can't believe this amazing Saperda scalaris landed on me whilst I was teaching 'Endangered Ecosystems' a red list species itself. So amazing!!!
Stars trail the night sky and leave bright streaks as they move. Of course it's us rotating that gives the effect. Taken in my garden looking up and North. Like a swirling vortex
NGC 891, the silver sliver galaxy. Plus a backdrop of thousands of stars from our own galaxy. Imagine how many worlds are in this picture! The dark gaseous bands can be seen here and considable work has gone into bringing out the best of this image through processing.
This peacock is painted on the wall of an old Aviary. Behind it, lots of colourful birds are painted on a green backdrop. Above the original roof structure can be seen and the viewing platform.
A male Swaledale sheep. Known as a Tup or Ram, stares into the camera with little concern. The swirled horns are typical of the breed. The females have horns too, but are not as long.
A beefly hangs above a purple flower. Its outstretched proboscis ready to drink some nectar. It took lot of failed attempts to get this shot!
A male tawney mining bee sits on a leaf. On its head between its compound eyes, the 3 simple eyes, known as ocelli, can be seen. Maybe if you zoom in a little.
Another wide angle shot but with bluebells forming the bottom foreground. The tall Lime trees above are reaching into the blue beautifully clear sky
Lush green Wild garlic grows in the bottom of the picture with Lime trees (called Lindon in the US) towering over them. The sun peers through the branches central and blue skies behind the trees. I took this 2 mins from my house at the Priory ruins.
M81 Bodes Galaxy and M82 Starburst Galaxy. Located in the Ursa Major constellation around 12 million lightyears away.
The Stockton infinity bridge illuminated by its own lighting and reflected beautifully in the river Tees bellow.

A green spider known as a cucumber spider amongst the flowers of my uk garden.
A red Soldier beetle sits on the tiny delicate white pettles of a Daisy. The yellow centre of the flower behind the beetle. A blurry green background creates a wonderful backdrop and more daisies can be made out under the subjects.
Markarian's Chain is a stretch of 18 separate galaxy's in Virgo. They're very faint and distant...
The Orion Nebula is the larger object. Above and much smaller is the running man nebula. The gas and dust cloud is a star forming region. This was around 4 nights of imaging and hours of stacking and processing
Darter dragonfly at rest in monochrome with bright yellow colour popped eyes.
Nuctenea umbratica sits patiently, glowing blue under the UV light. Her front 4 eyes are clearly visible as 4 green spots. Her stripy legs sit ready so she can dash out and capture her prey. Her body shines blue with 2 black spots front, centre. She sits on an Alder tree who's bark is gnarled and shines red, brown and green under the UV light. This was a good find.
Jupiter. The weather bands are clear.
