New in Firefox nightly (146.0a1 2025-10-19): large lists of unused CSS custom properties are collapsed by default. This not only reduces clutter, it also massively speeds up the rendering of the inspector panel in some cases.

Nice call, as long as it's only for larger lists. Now if someone could talk to the right person to finally stop the "Facebook Container" add-on from inserting a bunch of CSS variables in the general rules like so. This has bothered me for a few years now I guess. These are always there.

nice! would that hide annoying vars injected by extensions like, the --fbc facebook container extension on every single page?
