My dad had the same union job for 45+ years. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about unions.
My sword instructor's ancestry has two faces: his direct ancestors were garment workers and organizers who left NY just ahead of the Palmer Raids, and moved to LA. His collateral ancestors were the sweatshop owners who had begged the Feds for the raids. No, they have not had a Family Reunion since.
And my great grandfather manufactured incandescent bulbs. I grew up with incandescent bulbs. To this day I believe being anti-incandescent bulb is one of the worst things you can be.
