Anyone have a good use for old Android phones? Like around the house or w.e. I have an old LG V35 that sorta just sits on a shelf I thought about using it as an emulator device but i already have other things that do that Any ideas?

Spray paint it gold and sell it as a trump phone.

I haven't gotten around to it myself, but and interesting idea I've seen is the "pi hole" usually people run it off a Raspberry PI but I imagine you could wipe this and load that up. Reroutes all online ads to it so you see nothing.

Mine’s basically a bedside-table white noise machine at this point

If it's strong enough I'd pair it with a backbone controller grip or something and use GameNative to make it a tiny Steam Deck. Outside of that, apparently you can hse old phones as HomeAssistant hosts?? Not really a smarthome guy but it's an idea I guess

I usually keep an older Android device in each vehicle, typically turned off, with an OBD2 adapter and some diagnostic software, such as Torque Pro, FORScan, etc.

I have an old phone I use as an app tester. Rather than commit it to my main phone, with access to all my info and contacts, I use a second phone with no information about me to test apps. If I like them, I can put them on my main phone.

You could wipe it and donate.
