My Cover Artwork for ‘The Trial of Magdalena Overmorrow’ by Caitríona Moran. Magdalena in a beautiful, medieval style dress and lace veil, standing determined and calm behind a gothic window. In the midst of a great battle, a heavenly knight and a hell knight embrace as both enemies and as lovers. They hold each other as they both bleed from a single spear that’s pierced them through their hearts. A beautiful but also tragic scene as they perish together in one last embrace.

My back endpaper for The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart. SPOILERS The Island of Riya is sinking, a devastating whirlpool being created as it plunges into the depths of the ocean, mirroring the beginning of the story when Deerhead Island sank as Jovis watched helplessly. This time though, Jovis uses his powers to create and pull waves upon waves of water, pulling and saving people, boats and animals to safety.
My front endpaper for The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart. Two war ships are colliding in a storm and creating massive waves, created by Lin and Dione respectively, as they meet in battle. As these two walls of water collide, a searing bolt of lightning strikes down the centre, illuminating the massive silhouette of a sea creature behind the giant swirling wall of water.
My back endpaper for The Bone Shard Emperor by Andrea Stewart. SPOILERS. A majestic giant sea serpent caught in and surrounded by a massive cyclone of wind and water. It roars as broken splinters strike its coiling body. At the epicentre of the cyclone is a single small figure, Gio, who is controlling the power of the elements.
My front endpaper for The Bone Shard Emperor by Andrea Stewart. Phalue and Tythus are back-to-back in a fighting stance. They’re both holding up their swords against two giant constructs (one is a tiger with a leopard tail, the other is a wild cat with a wolf tail) who are menacingly circling them, creating a circular frame composition.
My illustration of the back endpaper of The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart. SPOILERS. A savage battle scene depicting the final moment before the Emperor’s death. All around them are dead or wounded constructs, bleeding and in mid battle. The centre is of Lin and the Emperor. Lin has one hand raised pointing towards the Emperor, commanding Bing Tai to attack. The emperor locks eye contact with Lin in shock as Bing Tai ferociously lunges and surrounds him, wrapping his jaw around his neck. The entire scene is framed within a circular border of an Asian wooden screen with a phoenix on either side. The whole illustration has a circular flow to create a visceral and dynamic atmosphere.

An island is burning and horrifically sinking into the depths of the sea, creating a giant wave of water which leads the eye to the two characters who are safely on a small boat who are onlooking in horror. Small animals from the island and large sea creatures are swimming away from the whirlpool trying to escape the disaster.
