The book's title suggests that it is widely cross-cultural in scope, i.e. "Metaphors of the ancient world", but what do you know... every chapter deals with metaphor in Greek and/or Latin. In fact the introductory chapter lays it out as such "A Very Brief Introduction to CMT and the Classics"
Are colleges and universities any better at naming Intro to Ancient Civilizations courses more precisely than they were in the 1980s?
