Winter is one of the sample pictures in Windows XP (2001). Taken by Mark Karrass, it shows a snowy forest at night, though its location is unknown. It debuted in build 2474 from May 2001, where it’s named Winter Forest. It’d later appear in a Windows Codename Longhorn demo video.
