As a constituent, l'd like to express my personal and moral disapproval of the new Presidential administration's vicious attacks on immigrants, especially those from Latin America. The specific focus on the southern border is already a racist bias, but the sheer cruelty of these operations is what truly horrifies me and many others across this district, state and country. As one of his first executive orders after inauguration, Trump removed restrictions for I.C.E. Operations in places that are supposed to be save havens - such as schools, hospitals, and places of worship. This EO is all about purposefully targeting places where there are often large groups of people, as well as many vulnerable populations, such as young children, older folks, sick and disabled people, etc.

As a constituent and a North Carolina college student, I am extremely concerned regarding the Trump administration's new EOs - especially those attacking federal aid programs that help millions of people a year. I personally would not be able to get a college degree without the help of a Pell grant, and now have no idea if I will be able to complete my B.A program before my financial security is ripped away from me. I'm sitting here, grinding my teeth, reading article after article, thinking about the (possibly very real) scenario that I may not get my Bachelor's degree anytime soon, which would also completely ruin any job opportunities for me. But it's not like all these Nazis want women working; isn't that the whole plan, anyway? I'm appalled at what this country is becoming. Students lose their aid, universities lose their funding for research, human beings are being treated like less than insects because they happened to be born in a different country, or because they so dared to be any form of non-traditional at all. I'm so unbelievably upset that I have to stress about being able to even GET A COLLEGE DEGREE while all these filthy rich white men, like you, sit on their asses and enjoy the sounds of the people suffering, like music to their ears. On top of all this, Republicans try to defend their vile actions by saying the most out-of-this-world Nazi stuff l've ever heard, for example, "the use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve." The quote really speaks for itself, doesn't it? I ask you to use your power in government for good. Please try to fight against these attacks. Protect all the people in this state/district, because that is your job. No matter what adjective you may use to describe them. America has never, and will never, bow to Nazis. Thank you.
