Elephant happily...or not happily, I tend to think elephants are generally happy...eating her greens. No explosive diarrhea from them! Believe me, their gigantic balls of poop are everywhere.

Blue waxbill, common and very pretty little bird, looking around and watching me. They move in groups, fast and searching for seeds and bugs. This is in Livingstone, Zambia.

A point where the Zambezi comes very close to the main road from Livingstone to Zimbabwe. The waters are moving fast as they head towards Victoria Falls with the sun setting in the distance.
The mist from Victoria Falls also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders. Stand on the other side and you get soaking wet from the spray back!

Getting a face bath from James the dog. ZAWS is a place of refuge for dogs and cats and all critters, even donkeys. lt is not the same in Zambia. "Pets" usually don't go in the house at all. They are guards, protection, maybe companionship..outside. Cats get a little more leeway but not by much. They may get to go inside, so they can catch rodents. Most are not fixed until they arrive at ZAWS, Zambezi Animal Welfare Society. If you ever want to think of donating to an amazing rescue, Lynne, who runs ZAWS on a string, would not mind it at all. But mostly, be kind to your animal companions. Peace.

A wattled Lapwing, no doubt named by someone British...I mean, really. Pretty cool, never saw this in Livingstone before.

Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke that Thunders", also know by most people as Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders. The Zambezi is moving very fast at this time. Even the crocodiles don't go there. In the middle by the edge is Livingstone Island, where David Livingstone "discovered" the falls and how the Zambezi was not navigable all the way to the Indian Ocean. Still, the colonizers moved in...and.yeah.
