The sound is bouncing up the river and blasting people miles away. Oops! It’s a big problem. Remember, we own this place, and can demand it be fixed, which I’m pretty sure will happen.
The Calder sculpture “La Grande Vitesse” was installed in 1969 and became our city logo. A rainbow-decked crowd vista Pride vendors lining the street on a sunny Saturday in June. Over 10k there easy in the time I was there. Bigger than the “No Kings” protests. For someone who remembers the sparse attendance when they began, it’s phenomenal.
