a beautiful painting by anders zorn. it features a guy on a boat, a woman on a dock and the sea under a cloudy sky. it's so detailed and textured that it's easier to conceive of it as a photo than as a watercolor.

this pixelated image displays a dithered rainbow from top to bottom that defines clearly the edge between the blue and the cyan, mimicking a red-yellow-green-cyan sky over a blue-purple-pink-red sea. brush strokes push colors around like clouds and waves. behind a light blue haze, a structure towers: it is made of bands of rainbows that mirror the overall vista at a much smaller scale and get lighter and lighter as they climb, then widen as they crest the lighthouse, now fully white. i made it in moss.town with a two very simple custom brushes and a bit of finagling.

greyscale pixel-art sprites over a red background. the first two are front-facing; one fills way too much space, but i made anti-corner bias stronger and the second one is a little better (they both look like they have fangs). the third sprite uses a different projection that also reveals its top, but it's distorted; creatures look long even though they're basically carved cubes. all of the rest use yet another projection that shows the left side as well, but it's equally distorted. the first of that batch looks like a cloud of particles, so i zoom in on the noise for the next one and again for the last three. they look somewhat repetitive but i love them to bits!
a 16 by 16 pixel image in almost homogeneous cyan tones. it's symmetrical with respect to the y axis (like a human face), which is probably why two pairs of dark pixels at the top look like angry eyes. it can be interpreted to have little legs in the bottom corners that are reminiscent of the bat-like pokémon golbat, and maybe wings that could be reminiscent of the bat-like pokémon golbat, if you squint.

a pixelated top-down videogame screen in the style of old school pokémon. three colors are present in the palette: white, pink, and dark pink. two tile variants exist, and they're arranged haphazardly. a lone pink blob (its name is owb) patrols the same square over and over. owb can look very round, but whenever it moves left or right, its paper-thin profile is revealed. clearly, not a lot of work has gone into this. yet.
