With political strife mounting over the perception of a weak army, the king decided to cede the territory to the invaders. It was of little tactical value and rebuilding would cost substantial time and coin. The crown was short in both. Many hoped the Goblinkind would eventually fade away. How long could they last before they reverted to their base instincts and turned on one another? But the fires in the distance never faded. And the fragile kingdoms of men are also victim to their own strife. Today, a new regime demands the kingdom be made whole once more, and the unclean washed from the earth."
