Some kind of biological material making black dots on the top of my wings. If I wet it and scratch with fingernails, it makes the water deep green, so I suspect it’s some kind of algae symbiote thing. No way I’ll get it all off by scratching, though.

I’ll have to do some experimenting to see what might work on it. Soap and water does nothing. Will try some dilute vinegar next. It’s only on the tops, nowhere else, and feels like sandpaper. I’ll bet it costs a couple of knots.
