despite being close to home and not particularly exotic, the san pablo bay/carquinez strait was one of the highlights of the california zephyr for me. now i'm getting to check it out from a little ways up on my bike

almost every time i end up in some random deep east bay/delta location it ends up being surprisingly fun and interesting. never spent much time in martinez, they have a cool waterfront park area
