This is disastrous. The people struggling the most in our society will feel these cuts the most. What's the point in a Labour government?

It's like they want a recession.

It's not the biggest cuts since austerity. The blue Tory austerity drive never ended. It's the biggest cuts since the world wars. All we need now for things to get even worse is for Labour to announce a war somewhere...like they did last time. The rhetoric to cannon fodder your kids is ramping up...

I'm not sure how cutting your way to growth is going to work.

The one thing that hit me yesterday is the Labour government's refusal to exempt Hospices from national insurance increases. They are more willing to increase tax on charities who are providing essential services, then they are to tax wasteful use of resources that cause pollution or obesity.

Tory Government returns. They are no longer a party for the people but a party for the donors since they won't increase the tax on the rich but would rather target the poor.

Same as all the others. To protect the interests of their donors and ensure they'll continue to be invited to speak at big events once they've left politics. Public service? Pah.
