The Old Man of Storr, a towering rock pinnacle on the Trotternish Ridge, Isle of Skye, Scotland. Formed by ancient landslides as part of the Trotternish landslip,the largest landslip in the UK,it rises above steep cliffs and grassy slopes. The area is steeped in legend: local folklore says the “Old Man” is a giant who was turned to stone, and the surrounding landscape inspired myths of fairies and mystical creatures. Only needed to replace the clips. 20L capacity still handles shopping and travel gear with ease. Discontinued now, but no replacement has matched it.

🌍 On the Echoes of History: A Moment to Reflect 🌍 Today, we remember VE Day, a turning point in human history. May 8th, 1945, marked the end of World War II in Europe, a victory over tyranny and despair. But as we honor those who fought for peace, we must ask ourselves: What have we truly learned? In 2025, the world finds itself repeating certain patterns. Tensions rise. Divisions deepen. The quest for power continues to blind us to the shared humanity that unites us all. We can almost hear the whispers of history, calling us to wake up — to see the lessons written in the ashes of the past. History is not just a collection of events; it is a mirror, reflecting the choices we make, the paths we follow, and the consequences of ignoring our shared responsibility. In every generation, the shadows of war and peace stretch across the globe. And yet, despite the clear lessons of the past, we often find ourselves trapped in the same cycles. Is it possible we have forgotten the true meaning of victory? 🌹 Victory is not merely the absence of war; it is the presence of understanding, compassion, and the courage to face our collective flaws. It is the willingness to rise above divisions and seek unity in a world that is still divided. The question today is not simply: What have we overcome? — but rather: What are we still willing to overcome? Can we break free from the patterns of history that chain us to old conflicts and divisions, or will we let the lessons of VE Day fade into the background of our noise? Let us not celebrate history blindly, but instead, let it awaken us to the need for change. The victory of the past is not a final chapter — it is an invitation. What will we choose, as the world stands on the edge of tomorrow?
From my experience, being a woman rider hasn't been good. I've been pushed out, rejected, treated like an outcast for having skills that go beyond the stereotype of what a woman rider “should” be. I’ve been pushed down, made to feel small, as if being born female is a joke. I’m not tiny boots and cute poses—I’m nobody to them. Only 6 women entered Dakar out of 250 men. Women are suppressed, so fewer even try. Most can't afford it—racing, bikes, vans. If you're not a supermodel on a bike, you're invisible. I want to change that. I want women to have a voice. But I'm tired. After 26 years of sexist BS, I ride alone now. I’ve pulled away from the motorcycle community after hitting too many walls. I won Baja 1000cc in the women’s class—because I was the only woman. That’s not a challenge; it’s a warning. Women like me are rare. We ride anyway.

This site is located near Bideford, and it's relatively close to the TET route. It offers a great place to rest after a long ride.
St James the Great Church, a historic parish church in Norfolk with origins dating back to medieval times. The architecture shows off traditional flint stonework, Gothic windows, and a classic English church tower. I'm not religious, but I’ve always appreciated the craftsmanship and history behind these buildings. I also enjoy wandering old graveyards — no shame in that; they’re peaceful places full of untold stories.
