Hannah opened the door and froze, unable to believe what she was seeing. The entire dining room was filled with grey smoke, slightly thicker in the area designated as the “smoking section” — a side room with bright sunlight streaming in through huge windows and small red tinfoil ashtrays on the tables. Every single person had a cigarette in their hand, it seemed. Many of them had a burger in the other, and Hannad watched horrified as they alternated between greasy bites and stinky drags. Of all the weird things she’d seen, this might be the weirdest.
