Black people were abandoned 1st threatening us is offensive bc it means you haven’t paid attention the last 400 yrs & how we have been forced to exist. You are not displaying allyship nor changing minds, you are afraid and you want us to have urgency on your behalf when you haven’t on ours.

this bit struck me: “I have found that white people with marginalized identities can be the most defensive and resistant when challenged on racism” i’ve been noticing this too. Do you have any insight as to why?
