We get mutation signatures that resemble cancer mutation signatures, but vary in dosage over each population’s history. We can ask new historical questions about mutagenic processes that are not possible to ask using mutation signature analysis on standing variation. (12/n)

To get a global view on the mutation histories for all populations, we did a manifold embedding through time for each population. We see trees of population and superpopulation relatedness emerge, depicting divergence of the mutation process over recent human history. (13/n)
