Our average temperature over the past six days is a whopping 85.7°F, which is our warmest start to July on record by more than 3 degrees. I check Greensboro to make sure Reidsville's obs weren't suspect, and it's almost identical. Hot stuff.

Given the ridging expected into next week, we might be in contention for one of the hottest months on record. August 2007 was in the middle of that epic southeastern drought. GSO hit 95°F+ 14 times and only picked up 1.36 inches of rain the whole month.
