Are our blue city Reps going to fight for their constituents who’s inner city hospitals face the same problems?! if not vote them out
@lesliead717.bsky.social · Jun 28
what about hospitals not in rural areas??
🌀Blue Crone · Jun 28
We need blanket opposition, quorum calls, object unanimous consent, force Republican object to unanimous consent, demanding recorded votes, refuse waive rules, fight adjournments, use Congressional Review Act resolutions to force votes, and holds, demand individual hearings and votes on nominees.

Expecting the closure of most small and rural hospitals across the country as a result of these GOP actions. How do they sleep at night knowing that large chunks of the country will be not just under-served, but un-served.

Funny only rural aka red areas get any relief, albeit inadequate. Never before have we had such a case of one party only caring about their own versus all Americans. It’s disgusting and should be called out.

Urban hospitals will also fail but we know why they aren't scheduled for relief

Can we get someone besides Schumer in front of the cameras from the Senate? He is not helping, he has half the national popularity as Trump. Senate Democrats have half-a-dozen better options.

GOP to their voters: “If we take Medicaid $ from your pocket and also blow up your local hospital budget $$$$$$, but then give a cash bailout $ to a local CEO fella to figure out a clinic or something, and hand the rest $$$$$ to billionaires we like, can we call it even? We’re still good, right.”

I heard it is only for rural hospitals in red states? That'll leave eastern Oregon out. The reaction might be an amped-up Join Idaho movement, not what I'd want (or what it should be).

Give 'em hell, Ron And don't let the vote against trans healthcare go through without a huge fight Do a bill reading?
West Ovarian · Jun 28
But it's gonna be a lot cheaper once enough people die, Ron. Ever think of that? RFK is on the case!

Rumor has it the rural fund will only be sent to red states anyway, so I am against it for that reason alone.

It’s ridiculous, not only the amount but the concept: what’s the point of keeping the hospitals open and staffed if the patients have no coverage for health care?
Bex · Jun 28
My cousin who voted for Trump and has yet to admit that was a bad call waited a full week for the closest hospital to him to be able to do a procedure to break up kidney stones. He waited a week in pain last month because of the already inadequate medical facilities near him. 🤦🏼♀️

KBStew 🇺🇦 · Jun 28
We are already hurting rural America with lack of opportunity, poor infrastructure- why not kill them at the same time. I moved to a small town in Oregon and the poverty is real.
Jules · Jun 28
If you don't have Medicaid, how are you supposed to access care at these rural hospitals?
Patricia · Jun 28
This bill is cruelty that our country will not survive. It is a completely broken social contract wrapped in the flag and perverted Christianity

The Parlimentarian rejected Lees original proposal to sell public lands because it doesn't belong in a reconciliation bill but Lee snuck it back in there anyway hoping you wouldn't notice. Please have section 50301 removed. The public is overwhelming opposed to the sale of any public lands.

Tossing pennies to the poor and telling them they should be grateful.
Dood78 · Jun 28
So basically the hospitals will be kept open but there will be no patients because the patients can’t afford it. The hospital will need to jack up prices meaning even those with insurance will suffer too. The GOP are complete barons and a-holes. Sickening, now my Mom will be on the streets I guess
Editor's Note · Jun 28
Don't worry they'll use the discretionary half of the $25 billion to prop up hospitals in key red districts.
