I have another issue with "my wife" : everytime I say it I feels like saying "the woman that belongs to me" but for sure she only belongs herself ! So I go with roommate, concubine, girlfriend or mother of my children

A long time ago I saw the news that the actor's irl wife was filing for divorce, and someone commented "-in sad, sobbing voice- my wife...", and since then that reference has been vindicated in my mind.
When you study under someone who looks like this, it gives you the ability to reach through the decades and low-key torture people forever.
