\o/ I have finally reconnected with Summit Software's BetterBASIC, a variant of BASIC for the IBM PC that I—but apparently nobody else—used extensively in the mid-1980s. For years and years it has been nowhere on eBay. Until it was. And now it's here.

I miss physical docs for tools, particularly in open-flat form! From that article it sounds like BetterBASIC lived up to its name. I found some comments from the mid-00s by people who were still using it to write and support commercial programs, thanks to a CPU speed-fixed version.
