Y&H SDE is a secure NHS data storage and access system that brings together healthcare data in one place and allows researchers and innovators to use it safely for their work.

Mark I wanted to be part of the group to help ensure the public have a voice in the systematic use of their data for further Health Research for the public good. Karen Being part of a group that can influence and shape something so important has been both rewarding and inspiring. As the PAG has developed, what initially felt like a complex and quite abstract concept has become something much more tangible, and I've seen first-hand the impact that meaningful public involvement can have. Selame I believe the public should have a voice in how health data is used. It was important to me to help represent communities whose perspectives are not always heard and contribute to building trust, transparency, and inclusion.

In the first half of the workshop, our Public Advisory Group (PAG) will help shape the Y&H SDE strategy and service design principles. In the second half, the PAG will develop their plans for community engagement, building on the original ideas in the Trust in Communities report.
