This might tilt some people, but honestly? Rather than befriend someone for their gender despite having nothing else in common, I'd rather bond with someone over a shared interest in, like, Kirby or something and have them anecdotally go "Hey, I noticed we're both nonbinary!" And we both go "That's neat!" before getting back into our discussion about whether Ado from Dream Land 3 and Adeleine from 64 are the same character or not.
