I wonder why we both thought our poems in iambic tetrameter? Maybe the word 'veil' has archaic overtones?

Yes, everyone brings their A game to PoemsAbout, including yourself. This narrative has both fragility and strength. It is quite beautiful.

Your internal rhythm (eight syllables) gives this a drive that carries it through to the unknowing end Mike. A sober reading from you this time.

Yep. Good one. I always see a gentle death as female and you catch that really well .

So lovely, and a hopeful take on the prompt - a kindly death. I really like the mythological feel to it too. 💫

I've just started reading with yours--add it to the stratosphere. There's such a feeling of quiet comfort here. I hope death is like that.
