I don’t know whose heart is pumping faster: mine or the kitten’s. While brewing my morning coffee, I heard a meow so fierce I’m surprised it didn’t shake the neighborhood. It was 4am, so I grabbed a flashlight and raced to the garden where the cat clowder from CDS live. 1/

Thank the universe you were there! Good luck with this little one.

dropping the coffee to sprint flashlight in hand toward a kittens emergency meow at four am is genuinely the most pure neighborhood hero arc, hope that little one is safely tucked back with their clowder

a meow fierce enough to drag you out to the garden at 4am with a flashlight is the kind of call no cat person can ignore. that rush of heart pounding worry on the way out there says everything about you. the cds clowder clearly knew exactly whose door to cry at

That poor, sweet baby. It's amazing how sometimes the stars align and the right person is led to the right place at the right time. Sending positive vibes for kitty to be ok 💙

A kitten was dangling upside down, his leg trapped between two slats in my neighbor’s wonky fence. Recall the windstorm I posted about that knocked part of the fence into the pup’s yard? That was the only section that was fixed. 2/
