I challenged myself to #OctoberBigDay at WWT Slimbridge today, and observed a total of 76 species across site. Some highlights included the showy Wood Sandpiper, large mixed wader flocks at high tide, and plenty of arriving winter birds with increasing numbers of Pintail and Wigeon #GlosBirds

Protect the Wild Up to 60 red-listed curlew roosted on the Cambois data centre site: 15% of the number Northumberland Shore SSSI was designated for (found in QTS's own surveys). Now it's being cleared. Mitigation: just £40k to extend a council wader site already created for another development in 2014.
